Model and actress Emily Ratajkowski has expressed her disappointment with Blue Origin's latest mission, which for the first time featured an all-female crew. In a video posted to TikTok, she called the 11-minute flight "disgusting" and "the end of the world."

Ratajkowski criticized the contradiction between messages about caring for the Earth and the use of a rocket that she believes contributes to environmental destruction, writes A2 CNN. She asked about the purpose of this trip: "How many resources were used to send these women into space? For what? What was the message?"

The crew included names like singer Katy Perry, journalist Gayle King, activist Amanda Nguyen, scientist Aisha Bowe, filmmaker Kerianne Flynn and Lauren Sanchez – the fiancée of Amazon and Blue Origin founder Jeff Bezos.

Reactions were also not lacking from other stars such as Olivia Wilde and Olivia Munn. The latter, in an interview, compared the flight to a trip to Disneyland and criticized the luxury of preparing the women for the mission, including makeup and eyelash extensions.

On the other hand, Gayle King and Lauren Sanchez defended the mission, saying that the goal was to inspire younger generations and promote the inclusion of women in scientific fields. "This trip represents a lot for girls and young women," King said.

Despite the criticism, the trip is being described by Blue Origin as a historic moment for gender equality in space, the first of its kind since Valentina Tereshkova's flight in 1963. (A2 Televizion)
