The unmanned spacecraft Starship launched one of the most powerful rockets ever built, but both were lost very quickly after detaching from the launch station.
The Super Heavy rocket booster ignited its 33 massive engines and the spacecraft began its journey. SpaceX first tried a procedure called "hot staging," essentially a step in which the spacecraft is separated from the rocket booster due to the strong impact that is created.
After hot staging, the rocket's booster exploded in a "fireball" over the Gulf of Mexico. Everything seemed to be going well until SpaceX lost the spacecraft's signal and activated the system's software to terminate the flight so it wouldn't veer off course.
The Starship was intended to make a "lap" around the planet before returning to Earth, but the data from this second test flight will be used to determine the next steps of SpaceX, whose founder aims to make humanity " multiplanetary". (A2 Televizion)
