A humanoid robot has been filmed attacking its operator at a factory in China, causing panic and widespread reactions on social media.
In the security camera footage, the robot appears tied to a small crane, but suddenly begins to violently move its arms and tries to free itself. Two employees, one sitting in front of a computer and the other behind the robot, rush away as the robot moves forward and collides with surrounding objects.
One of the men manages to pull the crane to stop the robot, ending the terrifying moment.
The event has been widely commented on online, with followers calling it a "dystopian" scene. "This is how it begins," wrote one commenter, while another added wryly: "Luckily, the robot apocalypse is stopped by a small crane... for now."
