On three occasions last night, referee Davide Massa stopped the match because Serbian players were lying on the field. What happened? According to them, they were hit in the head by fans with various objects. I have seen the footage several times and in two cases they are distinguished by a cardboard cup that caresses the players' hair, while the third was pure stimulation. In all three cases, the Serbs advertised it as if they had been hit in the head with a pneumatic hammer. They put their hand on their head and from this it was understood that blood would flow. In fact, it was a cardboard cup that fans hold water, or beer. And apart from the sweat, the blood was only in the imagination of the Serbs.
If this scene happened in a Serie A match or even in the European and World Cup, all of Italy, Europe and the world would laugh. But this matters little to the Serbian media. Not a few of them had headlines, last night and today, with the strangest words and phrases. The most absurd, even humorous, was that the Serbian footballers were lucky to escape certain death. After this, all that remains is to look up to the sky and say: Oh God!
But, as Serbs are known to become victims when they lose, they did not disappoint this time either. Watch some excerpts from the 2014 match in Belgrade! Watch how the fans hit our players! Watch how the Serbian players treated our players, while the Serbian media did not write a single line! And then go to our Gjimshiti who takes care of the muscular training of the Serbian Vlahovic. Will any Serbian player do the same thing to an Albanian player when the match is played in Serbia? The answer is of course no.
It is the same mentality as their great-grandfathers, grandfathers and fathers. We Albanians were killed, massacred and in the end they became the victim. It is the typology of an entire society deeply embedded in the genes.
With a few exceptions, the organization of the match was very good. I can find a lot of criticism and I can make it, but I am convinced that even the best organizer in the world would have something to complain about. Here I do not at all question the fact that the police and security removed those fans who had flags and slogans with Kosovo from the stadium. This is unacceptable and even a shame. However, neither this, nor the fans' calls for "sisters of the Serbs" spoiled the good organization of the match.
On the other hand, our team showed that it was superior to the Serbian one. Our team showed the profile of a great team. Although the draw hurts us a lot, because above all we lost a penalty, this yesterday was a match that really makes us proud. We dominated the game and the statistics speak in favor of our team. The most important thing was: “we had 8 shots on goal, against 6 of them”. Well, we had Serbia in front of us and not Andorra! While the mathematical calculations keep us in the game to go to the World Cup, we have to dream. The return match in Serbia will be even more decisive. Not only for the result. One thing we know for sure is that the cardboard cups are “decorative elements” only for Tirana. (A2 Televizion)
