The Constitutional Court of North Macedonia has decided to postpone the hearing on the Law of Languages for an indefinite date. In this session, for which it will be decided when it will be held, experts in the field and representatives of political parties are expected to participate, who will present their arguments regarding the contestation of the Law on Languages. The proposal to postpone the session was made by the judge of the Constitutional Court, Elizabeta Dukovska, who is responsible for this case.
But before taking this decision, Ali Ahmeti and Ziadin Sela have kept their word in front of this court and a large crowd of people gathered there.
Ahmeti warned of the fact that if a decision is taken to abrogate the Albanian language as an official language, there will be consequences and major revolts from society.
"We have not gathered here because there is an election campaign. We have gathered here because today, the judges of the Constitutional Court decided to suppress the Albanian language. "Any reckless, unwise decision will cause revolt and indignation among Albanians because they are being denied a right that they have not only sacrificed a lot over the centuries, but they have also washed it with blood," he said.
