The Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Hristijan Mickoski, has surprised quite a bit, as during his visit to the US he chose to meet an Albanian family to show an example of success of citizens from his country who have emigrated abroad.
Mickoski held a meeting with the Rusi family, who are originally from Dibra and have been living and working in the US for years.
"During my visit to the US, my colleagues and I met with the Rusi family, a well-known Albanian family from Dibra, who have been living and working in the US for several generations. They are an example of successful Albanians from Macedonia who have not forgotten their homeland and want to help its progress," says Mickoski.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia wrote on Facebook that he and the Rusi family discussed opportunities to strengthen ties between the diaspora and Macedonia, as well as projects that will bring benefits to all citizens.
"We discussed opportunities for strengthening ties between the diaspora and Macedonia, as well as projects that will bring benefits to all citizens. I believe that only together, regardless of ethnicity, can we work together to build a stable and prosperous Macedonia.
