The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, said today from exile that the visit to Banja Luka by High Representative Kristijan Šmit, whom he called "illegal" and "tourist", is leading Bosnia and Herzegovina towards adventure and disintegration.
"Bosnia and Herzegovina is being destroyed, its traces stink of inhumanity, because the attempt to instrumentalize the Court and Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the best way to lose all trust, and the People's Assembly of Republika Srpska made a decision that they, together with the Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HCPC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, will not operate on the territory of Republika Srpska," Dodik said.
He reiterated that these institutions "are not foreseen by the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina" and that the Republika Srpska, which he leads, is determined to abolish their power on its territory.
He accused Bosniak political representatives, calling them Muslims, of having accepted Schmidt's decisions, wanting through those decisions to " wash their hands of the Serbs and the Republika Srpska ."
Dodik labeled them as Muslims and added that Muslims in Bosnia and Herzegovina " are converts, who abandoned their original Orthodox or Catholic faith and converted to Islam ."
Dodik stated that the solution for Bosnia and Herzegovina is for " Muslims to return to their original faith, Orthodoxy and Catholicism ," after which, he added, "it would be confirmed that there is a Serb majority in Bosnia."
"Then we have nothing against Bosnia being unitary, because it would be Serbian. Before that, it will be nothing," Dodik said, stating that this was his response to the claims of the leader of the Party of Democratic Action, Bakir Izetbegović, that all the inhabitants of Bosnia were once Bogomils and that later some accepted Orthodoxy, some Catholicism and the majority Islam, therefore Bosnia should be unitary.
Speaking about the status of the Brcko district, Dodik said he agreed that the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina " should take its share of Brcko and that a clear dividing line be drawn between the two entities in that area ."
" If you think you can take Brcko, I'll tell you one thing - according to the census, the largest number of Brcko residents are Serbs. Check, how do you intend to transfer them to the Federation... ", said Dodik.
He continued by saying that internal sovereignty in Bosnia belongs to the entities – Republika Srpska and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while in the international legal sense "the term that Bosnia is a state can be used" .
" There is nothing state-owned in Bosnia and Herzegovina. They changed the essence of the Dayton Agreement and therefore it is necessary for Serbia to monitor the situation ," Dodik said, announcing that the Republika Srpska government will again ask Serbia to raise their issue and its position on the Dayton Agreement in its National Assembly.
He thanked the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, for his statement that " Republika Srpska is under attack ", assessing that they are " attacked from within by the treacherous opposition and from without by Bakir Izetbegović and the Bosniak member of the Bosnian Presidency, Denis Bećirović, the British, the Germans and various malicious foreigners ".
Dodik immediately attacked the European Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement, Marta Kos, who said that " the bright spot in Republika Srpska is the opposition ". He stated that the EU " should not have chosen such people to the position of Commissioner ".
" She is not intellectually gifted to impress and age can do anything. I don't want to insult her, but I also don't want them to insult our intelligence when they joke here ," Dodik said. (A2 Televizion)
