The United States has postponed the entry into force of US sanctions against the Serbian Oil Industry for two months. The news was announced by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić. The sanctions were supposed to come into force on April 28, but have been postponed until June 27, Vučić said on Instagram.

The United States placed the Serbian oil industry on its sanctions list on January 10 due to its ownership stake in the Russian company Gazprom, with the aim of preventing Russia from using revenues from the energy sector for the war in Ukraine.

The company, which deals with the exploration, production and processing of oil and natural gas, owns more than 400 gas stations in Serbia and in the countries of the region - Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania and Bulgaria. (A2 Televizion)
