Greek Minister of Defense Nikos Dendias, on the occasion of the Navy Day celebration, revealed what he called Athens' plan to create a missile defense wall in the Aegean, within the framework of "Agenda 2030".
Dendias spoke of " a wall that will be able and flexible " because of the many islands that Greece has.
According to him, the Greek islands will become a unit of power to block and prevent any thought or attempt to overthrow the Hellenic force in the Aegean, which has been consolidated by international treaties and the international law of the sea.
" The Navy remains a continuation of these traditions, that is, of Greek sovereignty in the Aegean. And it also remains the guarantor of the sovereignty and sovereign rights of Hellenism at sea ", said Nikos Dendias, during the speech at the School of Naval Cadets.
"'Agenda 2030' envisages a modern system for facing challenges and, of course, also envisages a modern and strong Navy.
