Dodik asks Russia and Serbia for help: I do not accept the court's

The President of Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina said he will not accept the sentence handed down this Friday for disrespecting the decisions of the High Representative, Christian Schmid.

The Bosnian court confirmed the first-instance verdict of February 26, by which Milorad Dodik was sentenced to one year in prison and a six-year ban on exercising political functions, writes A2 CNN.

But in an extraordinary press conference in Banja Luka, the head of the Serbian entity called this a political decision, and made it clear that he would not accept it.

He warned that the Assembly of Republika Srpska will adopt new decisions and that a "clear plan to get out of this situation" must be drafted, without providing details on what decisions are in question.

Dodik warned that Republika Srpska must retaliate and that a great danger threatens the Serbian entity. He said that he expects the support of Serbia and Russia and that he will also turn to the US.

Dodik's lawyer, Goran Bubiq, said after the verdict was announced that an appeal would be filed with the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in order to attempt to challenge it. (A2 Televizion)
