North Macedonian police have announced that a quantity of over 150 kilograms of marijuana has been seized.
The announcement issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of North Macedonia states that according to initial information, the transport vehicle entered from Kosovo, which was supposed to go to Greece through Macedonia, with the final destination being Turkey.
During a detailed search of the motor vehicle, a truck with Skopje license plates, carried out at the Bogorodica border crossing, a significant amount of marijuana was found and seized, for which relevant analyses and additional expertise will be conducted.
"This successful action is the result of inter-institutional cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Customs Directorate and is a confirmation of joint efforts in the fight against organized crime and illegal drug trafficking, for which the Memorandum of Cooperation was signed in November 2024," the announcement states, writes A2 CNN.
Among other things, it is reported that the investigation continues to uncover all the people involved and the way the transport was organized.
