Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said that "Serbia is tired of those who have been terrorizing it for four months," adding that they must do everything to avoid violence, but also oppose those who "destroy" the state.
"It's boiling in Serbia, but only they don't see it. Serbia is tired of those who have been terrorizing it for four months now. And we must do everything to respond to those who are destroying our country," Vučić said in a video address on Instagram.
He added that he invites people to protest peacefully and show that they want a "free Serbia."
After 16 people died when a concrete shelter collapsed at the Novi Sad railway station on November 1, a series of protests and blockades have been held, organized by students who have blocked faculties for more than three months, demanding responsibility for the accident.
Their demands have been supported by teachers, farmers, lawyers, and a number of citizens.
On Thursday evening and early Friday morning, students blocked the Belgrade city transport company's depot, causing 150 buses and 130 trams to not operate on Friday morning./ REL (A2 Televizion)
