Nikita Casap, a 17-year-old American who is accused of murdering his mother and stepfather, is suspected of being involved in a plot to overthrow the US government.
The teenager's phone contained material linked to a neo-Nazi group and, according to the FBI, the young man killed his parents because they wouldn't give him money to kill Donald Trump.
According to what was discovered by the FBI and reported by American media, Nikita Casap from Wisconsin acted as part of a plot to assassinate the President of the United States.
He took the lives of his mother, Tatiana Casap (35 years old), and his 51-year-old stepfather, Donald Mayer, who were found dead in their home on February 28.
A recently declassified search warrant alleges that the suspect's phone contained material related to a neo-Nazi group called the "Order of Nine Angels" inspired by Adolf Hitler. According to the court document, investigators also discovered anti-Semitic writings in which the defendant allegedly detailed his plans to assassinate the US president as part of a broader plot to overthrow the government.
Charge of intentional murder
The boy's parents were found dead during a visit by local authorities to their home in Waukesha, near Milwaukee, after the 17-year-old had been absent from school for two weeks. Mayer and Casap died from gunshot wounds. The 17-year-old is charged with first-degree murder and seven other charges, including concealing a corpse and identity theft.
Attack and escape plan
The double murder, according to investigators, "appears to have been caused by an attempt to obtain the financial means and autonomy necessary to carry out his plan."
Authorities said the teenager had purchased a drone and explosives to use in an attack and was planning to flee to Ukraine.
