The Hamas-run Gaza Civil Defense said at least 24 people were killed in overnight Israeli airstrikes, dismissing criticism from the UK and EU over the "monstrous" war in the enclave.
"Our teams transported 24 dead, most of them children, and dozens of wounded following Israeli airstrikes on several areas of the Gaza Strip last night and in the early hours of this morning," a spokesman said, according to A2 CNN.
Authorities in Gaza say Israel's "starvation policy" has killed at least 326 Palestinians since March 2, while the UN warns that 14,000 babies are at risk of dying within 48 hours.
The UN also says no aid has been distributed to Gaza due to Israeli restrictions, despite a handful of aid trucks entering the territory.
Meanwhile, American intelligence sources, quoted by CNN, report that Israel is preparing to attack Iranian nuclear facilities soon.
