Ukraine will not be able to take back the territories already occupied by Russian forces. Exclusive diplomatic sources for the prestigious Bloomberg report that Ukraine will receive a guarantee that Russia will not attack again, but the occupied Ukrainian territories will be left in oblivion as they now belong to Russia.

Bloomberg believes that part of the peace plan for Ukraine, which the Trump administration is also aware of, could be discussed at the Munich Conference to be held next week.

Ukraine’s top priority as an ultimate security guarantee is NATO membership, a prospect that Kiev has accepted, but according to Bloomberg sources, that is highly unlikely to happen.
President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said this week that he is open to elections after the war ends — and after martial law is lifted.

The Ukrainian president's top adviser, Andriy Yermak, spoke with US National Security Adviser Michael Waltz this week, while Russian President Vladimir Putin's spokesman said contacts between US and Russian agencies were intensifying.

Both Putin and Zelensky signaled that their previous refusal to talk to each other has softened as Trump's plan approaches.

In an interview late Tuesday with television host Piers Morgan, Zelenskiy reiterated his willingness to talk to Putin to end the war, in the presence of Ukraine's partners.

The Ukrainian leader's statement echoed comments to Bloomberg News last month that he is ready to sit at the negotiating table with Russia alongside the US and the EU. (A2 Televizion)
