Easter ceasefire, Russia and Ukraine exchange hundreds of prisoners of war

Shortly after Russian President Vladimir Putin declared an "Easter ceasefire" yesterday, Russia and Ukraine exchanged hundreds of prisoners in the largest exchange of the war so far.

According to foreign media, it is reported that a total of 277 Ukrainians have been returned from Russian captivity, a figure that includes 31 wounded prisoners of war transferred in exchange for 15 wounded Russian servicemen in need of urgent medical care.

The Russian Defense Ministry said that 246 Russian servicemen were returned in total in this prisoner exchange, writes A2 CNN.

But despite the ceasefire announced yesterday, we recall that the Ukrainian side has accused Russia of violations, as according to them, Putin's army attacked all of Ukraine today.

We recall that despite the promise and commitment of US President Donald Trump to end the war in Ukraine, nothing has been achieved so far. (A2 Televizion)
