On his way to The Hague, where he will attend the NATO summit, President Donald Trump made another post on the social network Truth, saying that Israel will no longer bomb Iran.
"Israel will not attack Iran. All planes will turn around and head home, giving a friendly 'salute' to Iran. No one will be hurt, ceasefire is in effect! Thank you for your attention to this matter!" Trump wrote, reports A2 CNN.
Earlier, Trump exploded in criticism of both countries for not respecting the ceasefire he announced the night before.
“These are two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the f**k they’re doing,” Trump told reporters at the White House. The president stressed that he did not believe the ceasefire had broken down completely. But he said he was particularly unhappy with Israel, which he said immediately broke the agreement. “Israel, as soon as we made the agreement, came out and dropped a barrage of bombs like never before, it was the biggest load we’ve ever seen. The biggest load we’ve ever seen.” “I’m not happy with Israel. You know, when I say, ‘OK, now you have 12 hours,’ it’s not like in the first hour you go out and drop everything you’ve got. So I’m not happy with them. I’m not happy with Iran either,” he added.
He later declared that Iran would “never” be able to rebuild its nuclear program following US airstrikes on its nuclear sites, when asked if Iran had the ability to recover from the recent attacks. “Iran will never recover. That country is in ruins, it has been destroyed,” he asserted.
Trump praised the US military, particularly the pilots who took part in the operation, saying: “The B-2 pilots did their job, and they did it better than anyone could have imagined.” The president again dismissed media reports suggesting that the strikes had had limited effect. (A2 Televizion)
