The head of the UN nuclear watchdog has warned against attacks on nuclear facilities and called for maximum restraint in Israel's attacks on Iran.
He made the call for maximum caution at a meeting of the United Nations Security Council, which was held in New York, writes A2 CNN.
"An armed attack on a nuclear facility should never happen and could result in radioactive releases with major consequences within and beyond the borders of the state that is attacked," Rafael Grossi, director of the International Atomic Energy Agency, told the UN council.
"Therefore, I again call for maximum restraint," he added, A2 CNN reports.
We recall that Israel has carried out attacks on Iran's nuclear power plant, slightly damaging its external structure.
