An Air France flight was forced to return to Paris two hours after takeoff after a passenger lost his phone during the flight. The plane, which was traveling to Pointe-a-Pitre in Guadeloupe, turned back as a safety precaution, bringing 375 passengers and 12 crew members back to France.
According to AirPlusNews, this is not the first time this has happened. Last month, another Air France plane was forced to turn back after a passenger's phone fell into a kitchen vent, creating a fire hazard due to the lithium battery.
Similar incidents have occurred on other airlines. An external battery exploded mid-flight on an AirAsia plane from Bangkok to Nakhon Si Thammarat in Thailand, causing panic among passengers.
The fire broke out, causing chaos on board. Fortunately, no one was injured and the plane landed at its destination on time. (A2 Televizion)
