Search and rescue teams in Lithuania have also found the body of a fourth American soldier, who along with three of his colleagues had been missing since last week when their vehicle sank in a swamp during a training exercise.
The discovery of his body was announced on Tuesday by American and Lithuanian officials.
The other three soldiers were found dead on Monday after rescuers discovered the location of the armored vehicle, at a military training area near the border with Belarus.
"The soldier was found after a search by hundreds of rescuers from the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, Lithuanian Armed Forces, Polish Armed Forces, Estonian Armed Forces, and numerous other elements of the Lithuanian government and civil services," the U.S. military said in a statement.
Meanwhile, President Trump mentioned this issue yesterday, during a conference in the Oval Office.
The four soldiers were serving at Fort Stewart, Georgia, and their identities have not yet been released.
They disappeared on March 25 while operating an M88 Hercules armored recovery vehicle and the next day, their 63-ton vehicle was found submerged in a 4.5-meter-deep swamp. (A2 Televizion)
