President Donald Trump's son shoots ducks in a protected area in Venice,

A video of US President Donald Trump's son shooting ducks in Venice and a protected area has been made public by foreign media.

The issue has also reached the Veneto Regional Council, with a question from Europa Verde, and in Parliament, with a question from Avs addressed to the Minister of the Environment Gilberto Pichetto Fratin.

Last December, Donald Trump Jr. was in Venice on vacation with his new partner and went fishing in the lagoon with a group of friends, writes A2 CNN.

A video was published a few days ago on a specialized American website, “The global hunt for adventure”, where Trump Junior is filmed and interviewed, surrounded by partridges and ducks. “The various hunting scenes in the Venetian lagoon were probably filmed recently in Valle Pirimpiè in Campagna Lupia” - says regional councilor Andrea Zanoni, of Europa Verde.

The area is protected by European regulations and is part of an EU Natura 2000 Network area, as a Special Area of Conservation, called the 'Middle-Lower Venetian Lagoon'.

"At one point in the video, Trump is shown describing the ducks that were shot, among which in the foreground is a Ruddy Shelduck, a duck that is very rare throughout Europe and is almost entirely orange-rusty in color," says Zanoni, who recalls how hunting is prohibited for non-residents of Italy.

The issue will also reach Parliament: "We are asking Environment Minister Pichetto Fratti with a question to explain what happened, given that the killing of protected species is a crime, and if it is true that the son of US President Donald Trump Jr. was among those involved," says Avs MP Luana Zanella.
