The best proof of this is the tensions created by the Rabbis' choice not to bury 23-year-old Alina Falahati, who was killed by Hamas.
The disfigured body of the Israeli girl was only recently identified, but the Rabbis refuse to bury her in a consecrated Jewish cemetery.
The reason is related to the fact that Alina had not yet completed the religious procedures for conversion to Judaism, and according to them, she does not have the right to be buried in an official cemetery controlled by the Rabbinate.
On the other side, the 23-year-old's family protests against the decision. " Our daughter died as a Jew among Jews ," said her father.
But Alina is not the only one who suffers this decision of the Rabbinate even though she is dead, as previously other victims, especially of Russian origin, were not buried according to the procedures of Jewish law, Halakha. (A2 Televizion)
