The Ukrainian Armed Forces have reported that 112 Russian drones and two missiles were launched overnight across the country.
According to foreign media, 68 of these drones were shot down by the Ukrainian Air Force, while 43 of them hit the country but caused no injuries to people.
The two missiles were launched from two different locations, the Voronezh region and the occupied Crimea, writes A2 CNN.
Several drones were shot down in Odessa, a region which was "massively attacked" by Russian strikes overnight according to the region's governor.
We recall that Russia has not stopped its attacks on Ukraine, despite talks between President Donald Trump and his Russian and Ukrainian counterparts to achieve a lasting peace between the countries.
Trump has so far held a 'head-to-head' meeting only with President Volodymyr Zelensky, a meeting which was held at the White House amid tensions.
Meanwhile, a meeting between Trump and Putin is expected, discussions about its organization are ongoing, following the meeting of senior representatives of the two countries in Saudi Arabia. (A2 Televizion)
