Hamas's armed wing, the Izzedine al-Qassam Brigades, confirmed that the four-day ceasefire will begin at 7:00 a.m. Friday local time in Gaza.
Hamas officials said four fuel trucks and 200 aid trucks would also be allowed into the Gaza Strip on each of those days.
In a statement, they added that all military actions by the Al-Qassam Brigades and Israeli forces will stop during the 4-day ceasefire.
After several weeks of negotiations with the mediation of Qatar and the involvement of the United States, Israel and Hamas reached an agreement for the release of 50 hostages during 4 days, during which there will be a pause in the fighting.
If successful, this would be the first ceasefire since the start of the war and would see the release of 50 women and children held hostage by Israel in exchange for 150 Palestinians held in Israeli prisons. (A2 Televizion)
