Houthis, joint attack with Iran against Israel

For the first time, the Houthi rebel group in Yemen has publicly stated that it has launched a joint attack with Iran on Israeli territory. The news was confirmed by spokesman Yehya Saree, who said that the group had targeted the city of Jaffa in central Israel with several ballistic missiles over the past 24 hours.

According to Saree's statement, the operation was considered a "triumph for the oppressed Palestinian and Iranian peoples" and was carried out in full coordination with Iranian forces, which have also taken action against Israel.

Meanwhile, Israeli media reported that the Israeli military has launched an operation to eliminate a senior Houthi rebel leader, although there is still no official confirmation of the outcome of this operation.

The Houthis, who are backed by Iran, are part of a regional alliance that also includes Hamas and Lebanon's Hezbollah. The group controls large swaths of Yemeni territory, including the capital Sanaa, even though they are more than a thousand miles from Israel.

This marks a new escalation of the involvement of Iran's regional allies in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, expanding the front of attacks towards the wider Middle East. (A2 Televizion)
