US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the latest tensions between Iran and Israel in a phone call on Saturday, A2 CNN reported. The White House confirmed the news.
"President Putin called me this morning to wish me a very kind Happy Birthday, but more importantly, we also talked about Iran, a country he knows well. We spoke at length," the White House statement said, quoting President Trump.
"He thinks, as do I, that this Israel-Iran war must end, and I explained to him that his war must end as well," Trump is quoted as saying.
