Various European countries have reacted after this afternoon's harsh-tongued meeting between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump at the White House.
According to foreign media, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk was simple with his message, telling Zelensky and his "dear Ukrainian friends" that they "are not alone" during this time.
In Portugal, French President Emmanuel Macron said that Russia is the aggressor and it is the Ukrainian people who are being attacked, writes A2 CNN.
The French leader said it was important to "respect" those who have fought from the beginning for Europe's security.
Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch also shared her thoughts on the social network 'X', saying that "respected diplomacy is essential for peace."
"A divided West only benefits Russia," she wrote, A2 CNN reports.
"Now is the time for more cooperation, not less. Any peace agreement must be negotiated with Ukraine at the table and will need security guarantees," she continued.
"We cannot forget the fact that tonight air raid sirens are sounding in Ukraine," she concluded.
