US President Donald Trump has reacted to Israel's attacks on Iran overnight.
Trump told Fox News that the US government was aware of Israel's attack on Iran, but according to him, the US was not involved.
He reiterated that the US military played no role in this operation, while adding that he hopes Iran will continue negotiations with the US to curb its nuclear program.
"Iran cannot have a nuclear bomb and we hope to go back to the negotiating table. We'll see. There are some people in the leadership who will not come back," Trump said, noting that the US has confirmed that "many Iranian leaders were killed in the attack."
Trump also announced that his administration contacted a key Middle Eastern ally before the attack to inform it, but did not reveal which country was involved. (A2 Televizion)
