The Israeli military has issued an evacuation order for residents in a Tehran neighborhood, ahead of planned attacks on what it calls Iranian regime military infrastructure in the Iranian capital.
In a Persian-language post on the X platform, the IDF stated that they “will take action in this area in the coming hours,” stressing that “your presence in this area endangers your lives.”
The area in question, one of Tehran's 21 districts, is among the wealthiest and most populous, home to residential buildings and state institutions, including the headquarters of Iran's state broadcaster, IRIB (Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting), writes A2 CNN.
This call comes at the same time as Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz declared that “the spokesman for Iranian propaganda and incitement is on the verge of extinction” and that “the evacuation of surrounding residents has begun.” It is not yet clear whether he was referring to District 3 or the IRIB facility.
The situation remains tense, while there is still no official confirmation from Iranian authorities about the movements of civilians or any military response. (A2 Televizion)
