Iran's Cyber Security Command has declared that Israel has launched a "broad cyber war" against the country's digital infrastructure, aiming to disrupt services to citizens, the news was reported by the Iranian state news agency IRIB.
According to the report, Iranian authorities have taken measures to repel this attack campaign, claiming that "most of the attacks have been successfully repelled." The defensive measures have been taken to prevent Israeli penetration of Iranian cyber networks and to prevent the use of the infrastructure for cyber or military operations, writes A2 CNN.
In a separate incident, the semi-official FARS news agency reported that a cyberattack had disrupted some services at Iran's Bank Sepah. A hacker group allegedly linked to Israel claimed responsibility for the attack, saying they had "destroyed all of Bank Sepah's data."
Cyber tensions between the two countries have increased significantly recently, in a period also characterized by the escalation of conflicts in the Middle East. Digital clashes between Iran and Israel have become increasingly sophisticated and frequent, raising concerns about regional security and the impact on ordinary citizens. (A2 Televizion)
