The Russian delegation has arrived in Istanbul and is "ready for serious professional work," says a Kremlin aide who is in the Turkish city for bilateral talks with Ukraine.
According to foreign media, Vladimir Medinsky will lead the delegation, writes A2 CNN.
Part of the Russian delegation will also be:
Mikhail Galuzin, Deputy Foreign Minister.
Igor Kostyukov, director of Russian military intelligence, known as the GRU, or more recently simply GU.
Alexander Fomin, deputy defense minister who participated in the 2022 talks on Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the Kremlin says Russian President Vladimir Putin currently has no plans to go to Istanbul for peace talks.
This information comes after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he would wait for him in Ankara or travel to Istanbul to meet him.
The Ukrainian leader's offer came after Putin made headlines last weekend when he called for direct talks with Ukraine.
But last night it was confirmed that the Kremlin leader would not attend the peace talks today.
