Pakistan's Prime Minister thanks Turkish President, "dear

Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Thursday that he had spoken to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, whom he called a "beloved brother."

Sharif thanked Erdogan for showing "solidarity and support with Pakistan at this critical time," he wrote in X.

He also briefed Erdogan on the "valiant efforts" of the Pakistan military.

"We will defend our sovereignty and territorial integrity at all costs. Pakistan is grateful for Turkish efforts to promote de-escalation and maintain peace in South Asia."

Pakistan and Turkey are close partners.

On Wednesday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry warned that India's missile attacks on Pakistan and Pakistani-administered Kashmir "increase the risk of a general war."

"We condemn such provocative steps, as well as attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure," she said, echoing Pakistan's calls for an investigation into the April 22 militant attack in Indian-administered Kashmir. Delhi has blamed its neighbor, which Pakistan denies. (A2 Televizion)
