Today, British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer paid a visit to the United States of America, where he met with President Donald Trump.
According to foreign media, Starmer says the visit has been "very good and productive" and adds that "it's good to know that the United Kingdom has a real friend in the Oval Office."
Turning to the "real danger in the world", Starmer says the relationship between the two countries matters more than ever.
"We remain each other's first partner in defense, ready to come to the aid of the other, to counter threats wherever and whenever they appear," he adds.
Regarding Ukraine, Starmer says he welcomes Trump's "deep and personal" commitment to bringing peace and stopping the killings.
"You have created a moment of extraordinary opportunity to reach a historic peace agreement, an agreement that would be celebrated in Ukraine and around the world," he says.
Starmer says the UK is ready to put 'boots' on the ground and planes in the air to support a deal on Ukraine, made with allies.
"This is the only way peace will last," he adds, writes A2 CNN.
It also reveals that the UK and US have decided to "go further to begin work on a new economic agreement with advanced technology at its core".
"What a beautiful accent," Trump says as Starmer wraps up his speech. "I would have been president 20 years ago if I had that accent," he adds. (A2 Televizion)
