Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has said she is ready to improve relations between the US and Europe.
According to foreign media, in a statement on the social network 'X', Meloni said: "Italy will always be committed to consolidating the dialogue between the US and Europe, as an essential pillar for the stability and growth of our communities."
Meloni is one of Trump's strongest supporters in Europe and was among a handful of world leaders who attended his inauguration.
She appears to be positioning herself as a bridge between the Trump administration and the EU, writes A2 CNN.
Meloni and Trump dined at Mar-a-Lago earlier this month, where he said the Italian leader had "really 'conquered' Europe."
