Russian President Vladimir Putin did not sign off on the US proposal for a full 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine during a phone call with his counterpart Donald Trump, but both sides agreed to continue talks.
According to foreign media, these new talks will begin in Saudi Arabia on Sunday, Trump's special envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, told Fox News after their call.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz will again lead the US delegation, he said, adding that "the devil is in the details."
He did not specify whether the Ukrainian or Russian delegations will be in talks during this time, writes A2 CNN.
We recall that in yesterday's telephone conversation between Trump and Putin, a number of important issues were agreed upon, including stopping attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. (A2 Televizion)
