Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has spoken out against Macron's proposal to defend Europe with nuclear weapons. For Lavrov, this is a direct threat to Russia, just like it was with Hitler and Napoleon when they launched their military campaigns against Moscow.

"Of course, this is a threat to Russia. If they consider us a threat, if they call a meeting of the chiefs of general staff of European countries and Britain, if they say that it is necessary to use nuclear weapons, to prepare to use nuclear weapons against Russia, this is, of course, a threat. Unlike his predecessors, who also wanted to fight Russia - Napoleon and Hitler, the latter is not a very glorious President, because at least they said directly: "We must conquer Russia, we must defeat Russia."
