Russia is taking measures to reduce tensions in the Western Balkans. This is what Moscow's foreign minister says in a letter sent to the president of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, expressing support for what he calls the process of protecting the constitutional powers of the entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"I share your high assessment of the cooperation between the Russian Federation and Republika Srpska. I believe in the continuation of the dialogue based on trust, as well as in the further strengthening of friendly relations and partnership between our fraternal peoples," Lavrov said in the letter published by Serbian-language media.
The Russian Foreign Minister further asserts that Moscow is closely monitoring the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"For our part, we are taking comprehensive measures to reduce tensions, to guarantee peace, security and stability in the Balkans," Lavrov said, among other things. (A2 Televizion)
