Donald Trump signed an executive order on Tuesday that will withdraw the United States from the UN Human Rights Council and halt any new funding for the UN agency for helping Palestinian refugees.
The White House said in a statement that the Council has "demonstrated consistent bias against Israel" and has allowed "countries like Iran, China and Cuba" to use it "to protect themselves despite having numerous human rights violations and abuses."
The order also directs the Secretary of State to initiate a review and then provide a report "on which international organizations, conventions, and treaties promote extremist or anti-American sentiment." (A2 Televizion)
