The death toll in the war in Ukraine is unclear, with both sides reluctant to give casualty figures.
According to foreign media, the UK Ministry of Defense has published a number of losses suffered by Russian armed forces in its latest intelligence update.
The ministry estimates that between 200,000 and 250,000 soldiers have been killed during Putin's war, which would be Russia's biggest loss since World War II.
Also, the British Ministry of Defense says that the total number of people killed or injured is 900,000, writes A2 CNN.
The Defense Ministry says Putin and his military leaders prioritize the conflict over the lives of Russian soldiers: "They are almost certainly prepared to tolerate continued high levels of casualties, as long as this does not negatively affect public or elite support for the war and those losses can be replaced."
