"Survival box" and instructions, France will prepare citizens for

Following the Scandinavian countries, Denmark and Poland, the French government also plans to send "survival manuals" to families in the country, with instructions on how to prepare for imminent threats such as armed conflicts, health crises or natural disasters.

If approved by Prime Minister François Bayrou, the 20-page booklet will be sent to French households before the summer. The leaflet will be divided into three sections with advice on how citizens can protect themselves and those around them, what to do if a threat is imminent, emergency numbers and advice on keeping doors and windows closed if a nuclear threat is imminent.

The brochure will also include details on how citizens can participate in protecting their community, including signing up for reserve units or fire crews.

As Europe 1 reports, the leaflet will also include advice for a "survival kit" consisting of at least six liters of water, 12 cans of food, batteries and a flashlight, as well as basic medical supplies, such as paracetamol, compresses and salt.

"The aim of this document is to ensure the resilience of the population to any type of crisis, be it physical, technological, cyber or security-related," says a spokesman for the French prime minister's office.

The French prime minister's office did not respond to The Guardian's request for confirmation of the information.

The report comes after Emmanuel Macron said France would accelerate and increase orders for Rafale fighter jets, strengthening the country's air force " to prepare if we want to avoid war ." (A2 Televizion)
