Foreign media have released footage of the terrifying moment a brown bear attacked two gas workers in Siberia, leaving them with severe head and arm injuries after battling the beast. In the video, three dogs are seen next to the bear as it patrols the camp.
A voice calls out to the dogs to leave. The bear then enters the compound, chasing one of the dogs around a vehicle in the heavy snow. As a man leaves a trailer, the bear comes out and attacks. A man was forced into the snow by an angry bear. Others try to stop the animal with what appears to be a fire extinguisher. As the bear disappears with the workers, an onlooker calls out: 'Where is he?'
Another answers: "He ate it there." The two men were in the smoking room of their factory when they saw a pack of dogs chasing something, reports say. One of the men, a mechanic, opened the door to drive the bear away, but it immediately attacked him. There was panic as workers used fire extinguishers, flares and a gas spray to scare off the animal.
Eventually he freed the mechanic, but immediately viciously grabbed the plant manager. The workers called a local hunter, who came and shot the bear about 20 minutes after the attacks. Two men were treated at the scene and airlifted to hospital. (A2 Televizion)
