Iran's mission to the UN has just responded to US President Donald Trump's claim that Tehran has approached Washington for negotiations.
"No Iranian official has ever asked to bow before the gates of the White House," the representative said in a written statement, foreign media reported.
"The only thing more despicable than his lies is his cowardly threat to 'overthrow' the Supreme Leader of Iran," the statement continued.
"Iran does NOT negotiate under pressure, will NOT accept peace under pressure, and certainly NOT with a fighter who has been clinging to importance," the Iranian Mission to the UN further stated, writes A2 CNN.
"Iran will respond to any threat with a counter-threat and any action with reciprocal measures," the statement concluded. (A2 Televizion)
