Two Italian parents who refused to accept their 19-year-old daughter's sexual orientation and locked her up at home have been arrested. Local media reports say their daughter was romantically involved with a 20-year-old woman in Ercolano, in the province of Naples.
The parents, aged 47 and 43, threatened the girls that they would set fire to the 20-year-old's house where they lived.
Due to this threat, the two girls had taken refuge at a friend's house. But the parents of the 19-year-old, who had installed a GPS on their daughter's cell phone, managed to find the girls, even showing up at their friend's house. There, they forcibly took their daughter amid the screams of those present, snatched the smartphone from her hands, grabbed her by the arms, and dragged her to the car before driving away.
