North Korea's confirmation that it has sent troops to fight for Russia against Ukraine has been labeled an "admission to a criminal act" by South Korea.
According to foreign media, the country's Foreign Ministry described the measure as "inhumane and immoral."
"With their public admission of the deployment of troops, while claiming to be in full compliance with international law, they are once again mocking the international community," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement, A2 CNN writes.
The Foreign Ministry also stated that broader military cooperation between Russia and North Korea "constitutes a serious violation of international norms," writes A2 CNN.
South Korea is the latest country to condemn the move, with the US saying it is "concerned" by Pyongyang's "direct involvement" in the war. (A2 Televizion)
