Trump's plan to relocate Palestinians from Gaza sparks international

International reactions continue to grow against President Donald Trump's plan to take control of Gaza and displace the Palestinians living there.

According to foreign media, this morning, Malaysia said that any proposal for their forced relocation constitutes ethnic cleansing and a violation of international law.

Neighboring Indonesia said it rejected "any attempt to forcibly displace Palestinians or change the demographic composition of the occupied Palestinian territory."

These two states join the group of countries that have sharply criticized Trump's proposal since its announcement on Tuesday evening, including the United Kingdom, Spain and Turkey, which called it "absurd."

The ideas also drew opposition from world powers Russia, China and Germany, who said they would incite "new suffering and new hatred".

Regional heavyweight and US ally Saudi Arabia rejected the proposal outright, writes A2 CNN.

It was unclear whether Trump would proceed with his proposal or was putting forward an extreme position as a bargaining chip.

King Abdullah of Jordan, who will meet with Trump at the White House next week, said he rejected any move to annex land and displace Palestinians.

Egypt said it would support Gaza's recovery plans without letting Palestinians move from the territory. (A2 Televizion)
