The war launched by Russia against Ukraine is increasingly hitting negative records. Moscow's military launched 267 drones over all of Ukraine overnight, half of which were shot down by air defenses, writes A2 CNN.
Kiev forces confirmed that this is an absolute record, while Monday marks three years since the start of the armed conflict. It is not clear how many people have died, but initial figures from emergency services suggest there have been at least three victims.
Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry says 20 Ukrainian drones were shot down overnight. President Volodymyr Zelensky said Kiev needs the strength of all of Europe, the United States and all those seeking lasting peace.
The Russian leader, meanwhile, has begun to speak like a prophet. According to Vladimir Putin, God gave him and the army the mission to "defend Russia."
"Fate willed it so, and God did so, he gave me the mission to defend Russia, a difficult and honorable mission has been placed on my shoulders and yours, together," the Russian president said at a ceremony to award military honors on Defender of the Fatherland Day.
