US government employees received an email on Saturday afternoon asking them to list their accomplishments from the past week or resign.
This is the latest development in the Trump administration's efforts to reduce the federal workforce, writes A2 CNN.
The email came after Trump's billionaire confidant Elon Musk posted on social media that employees would "soon receive a request to list performance."
“Failure to respond will be considered resignation,” he wrote. Musk, as head of the so-called Department of Government Efficiency, has led an outside effort to aggressively reduce government spending through funding cuts and layoffs. (A2 Televizion)
