The US administration of Donald Trump has frozen $2.2 billion in funding for Harvard. The decision comes after the prestigious university refused an order to change its policies in line with those set by the White House.
On Monday, Harvard President Alan Garber released a statement stressing that the University will not surrender its independence or constitutional rights.
Harvard received a letter from a Federal Tax Authority warning it that state aid was contingent on the institution's commitment to students and faculty members' compliance with University matters. It also required Harvard to report foreign students who had committed violations. (A2 Televizion)
