NATO chief in Odessa delivers message of unwavering support for Ukraine

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte visited the Ukrainian city of Odessa on Tuesday, April 15, together with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. In a post on social media, he expressed his unwavering support for Ukraine.

"Today I visited Odessa together with President Zelenskyy. The Ukrainian people have endured so much, not least the Russian attack on Sumy on Palm Sunday. NATO's support is unwavering. We will continue to help Ukraine so that it can defend itself today and deter future aggression, ensuring a just and lasting peace," Rutte said on the social media platform X.

On April 12, the Ukraine Contact Group met at NATO headquarters in Brussels, with the United States participating online, and the allies agreed to put pressure on Russia, which continues its attacks, and to continue supporting Ukraine to ensure that it comes to the negotiating table from a position of strength.
