Unknown moments from the life of Bashar al-Assad have been exposed to the general public through dozens of photos, which the rebels found in the royal palace and posted on social networks.
Assad had insisted in interviews that his family led a middle-class life, but from photos of the family's looted home, it appeared the regime leader, his children and wife were "swimming" in wealth.
As the British media Sky News reports, the photos that the rebels have published also show the main house of the former dictator, his wife of British origin, Asma, and their children, in which they also kept personal treasures.
Syrian civilians and rebels have looted most of the house, along with Asma's wardrobe, while the floor is covered with countless boxes full of jewelry, antiques and designer items.
Various files were also found on the lower floor of the house. Among them were bank records under Asma's maiden name, which included a staggering sum of up to $22.5 million.
In the mentioned house of the Assad family, the place where Asma kept her favorite memories from family life was also found.
Specifically, there were gifts her children had given her, family photos of the Assads on vacation, and even photos of Bashar al-Assad swimming. (A2 Televizion)
